OliveAnkara Originals PR Launch Campaign 

Media Relations | Influencer Engagement

Born and raised in Italy by Nigerian parents, founder Ifeoma Ubby started OliveAnkara (OA) to make African inspired clothes that can be worn by women of all races. The brand began as a side project for the then molecular biologist, with a doctorate in genetics no
less, whilst based in Singapore in 2017 and has since become her life’s passion. OA’s first collection launched in June 2017 and turned
heads with a combination of storied Ankara (African wax print) fabric with Ifeoma's own designs, a reflection of her own mix of cultures - Italian craftsmanship and Asian and African designs. The slow fashion brand places quality and uniqueness above all, and has worked towards a zero waste goal.


Launched in October 2021, we served as OA's agency for all media relations efforts in the launch of OA Originals: 

  • Development and execution of media relations and influencer engagement efforts 

  • Development of press release and dissemination of press kit to a curated gold list of media and influencers in lifestyle and fashion 

  • Creative story pitching 

  • On-ground hosting at OliveAnkara's showroom with invited media and KOLs

  • Development of OA Ambassador Programme


Due to COVID-19, Singapore extended its social curbs and the initial media activations were postponed. Through pitching, we secured:

  • 29 pieces of coverage across digital, print and social media such as The Straits Times, Female, Tatler Asia, VOGUE to name a few

  • An estimated of S$59,600 in media value

  • An estimated of 10.1 million impressions
